Incessant Inhumanity
Alarm rings, start of a new day
Shower, breakfast, kiss, hug, wave goodbye
Untouched lunchboxes
Hung backpacks
Empty desks

Going through the motions
Mentally checked out
Close my eyes and think of them
Most vulnerable being murdered
Nothing is being done to protect them
Incessant Inhumanity
