Foliage

Fall is my favorite season. Here is a short poem describing my love for it.

Foliage

Change is here, colors galore

October 12 hear me roar

Libra season, full effect

Extremely direct but we know how to connect

Witty, diplomatic, extremely romantic

Heavily observant and sometimes pedantic

Pumpkin patches pumpkin spice

Pumpkin anything, makes it nice

Hoodies, flannels, costume shopping

Fall season it’s always popping

This song is from “A Walk to Remember”, it was the ending credits song. While I was writing this poem it came to my mind. Given today’s date it makes sense why… see below.

“It was late in September

And I've seen you before (and you were)

You were always the cold one

But I was never that sure

You were all by yourself

Staring up at a dark gray sky

I was changed”
